Rookietown, known as Beginner Town (ビギナの街) in Japan, is the first round from Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle. It is a small town located on Karin Island (カリン島), on planet Janbarik.

This is a very short and straightforward round, with only a few easy enemies. The player can find various treasure chests containing money and various Janken Houses to play rock-paper-scissors to get items. Before the second palm tree after the first building the player can find a secret passage in the ground with lots of treasure chests.
